About who needs care: Tom is a very affable 88-year-old man, who just lost his wife. He has some slight memory issues, but is very easygoing and used to following through with directions. He has some mobility issues, walking with the support of a walker or cane. He has GI issues, which lead to periodic incontinence. He has always tended to be a homebody and likes to watch tv, or just sit outside and watch the world. He has a lovely neighbor who is a CNA, and has been helping a lot, but he needs additional support. About the care needs: Tom would do well with anyone warm and patient, and that will laugh at his jokes. He will need someone comfortable with assisting potential toileting issues and clean up, without shaming, and doing some light household care. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
