About who needs care: Typically my dad has dialysis 3 days a week. Somewhere between those days are other doctor appointments and physical therapy. He recently had his left leg amputated just below the knee. He is diabetic. On dialysis days he leave around 9 a.m. About the care needs: My dad can be very stubborn - my mom is also around but also aging and we are seeing signs of some failing cognition so we are trying to see what it would look like to give her some relief with caring for my dad. My dads memory is slipping and typically on or the night after dialysis days his cognition is more impaired. He has fallen several times and most recently fell out of his wheelchair and thought someone pushed him out of his wheelchair. Services needed include: transportation, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
