About who needs care: My father currently lives at home with my mother and is bedbound, relying heavily on her for his daily care, including eating and bathing. He has very limited mobility and requires significant assistance with repositioning to help prevent bedsores. Due to his reduced movement, his social interactions have also declined, and he would greatly benefit from having someone to talk with and engage in conversation about life. I live about two hours away and visit him once or twice a week, but I would like to supplement those visits with your services to provide him with additional support and companionship. He spends much of his time resting and has difficulty moving in bed, so gentle assistance and patient interaction would be very helpful. His immobility comes from a stroke that he had in his early 30's and he is currently disabled. About the care needs: The ideal caregiver for my father is a compassionate and patient individual with experience assisting bedbound patients. They should be skilled in safe mobility support, bathing, feeding, and repositioning to help prevent bedsores. Reliability and consistency are essential, as well as clear communication and respect for my mother, who is his primary caregiver. Beyond physical care, the caregiver should offer companionship and meaningful conversation to help improve his social well-being and emotional comfort. My father enjoys music and "the good ole days" Services needed include: companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
