About who needs care: My dad has mild dementia and is struggling with losing his independence. He is staying with me temporarily, so we initially need someone for about a month, but it could become longer. He likes to take long walks. He otherwise does not have much of a schedule, so we would like someone to help keep him engaged and get him out and about. He needs help with technology and reminders to eat. About the care needs: My dad is very interested in history. Someone with experience in dealing with someone with a recent dementia diagnosis would be helpful. A car and ability to drive would be important as he has doctor's appointments he need transportation to. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
