About who needs care: I am the wedding planner for a couple getting married in Downtown Chicago. The family will be staying at Palmer House near by. The sister of the Groom, Maggie, is a 46-year-old women with Anoxic Encephalopathy due to a cardiac arrest when she was 21. Maggie is 5, 10 tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She cannot speak, move any part of her body, hold her head up and cannot bear weight. She cant talk but understands what is said- cries, laughs appropriately. She is tube fed with a gastrostomy tube into her abdomen. She is incontinent and wears briefs , changed every 3 hr The family needs someone to be present with her at the event, stay with her at the hotel during other events so that her mother can enjoy the weekend. Services needed: strong person who can transfer her from the bed to her wheelchair and tube feed her
