About who needs care: Patient has ALS and requires cleaning and pad/diaper changing in the mornings. Feeding and medications are through G-tube which my family administers. She typically sits on the commode to have bowel movements and to get out of bed. While sitting on commode she uses a mini elliptical to get her legs moving, uses a nebulizer for 30 minutes and watches tv. She has a pressure sore which requires monitoring and cleaning as needed . Rotating positions in bed every 4 hours About the care needs: Would more than likely feel more comfortable with a female care giver, is non-verbal now due to ALS but formally Spanish speaking . She can read in English , types out messages on her phone in Spanish. Watches novelas most of the time. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
