About who needs care: He's had several strokes (first one at 17 but it didn't hold him back) He was diagnosed with a mass in his colon that is NOT spreading. Surgery details to remove it are ongoing. He speaks slow but with patience, communication is simple. About the care needs: Patient and reliable. We've had issues in the past of caregivers not showing up or, even worse, showing up intoxicated. We need someone that can give my father a good quality of life in the time he has left. We want him to be comfortable and heard. We use a hoyer lift to transport him from his medical bed to his electric wheelchair so experience would be preferred. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
