I'm looking for live-in home care for my father in his 90s. I am open to hiring two individuals if a full time is not an option. My father was self sufficient until a recent fall. He did not sustain any injuries other than bruising but the time in the bed with the fall and a bout of pneumonia has taken its toll on his strength. He has mild dementia and some hearing loss. Some responsibilities will include bathing, helping to dress and aid him to get to the bathroom as he is very unsteady on his feet. He is 6' 3" so will need someone with adequate strength to help him. He sleeps from 8 p.m. - 10 a.m. and then mostly likes to sit on the porch and watch the activity on the farm. All meals and other chores are take care of by my mother who is the prime caregiver. Preferences for a caregiver who is a non-smoker and CPR / first-aid trained.
