About who needs care: I am currently seeking a caregiver for 2 days per week regarding my mom in Fairburn, Georgia. My mom is recovering from surgery because of a hip fracture. She also has Alzheimers, but takes medication daily for it. She had 2 blood transfusions post surgery, which has caused her blood pressure to be monitored daily. The caregivers responsibilities would be the following: 1). Heat and give her lunch @12:30 p.m. or 1:00 p.m. Mom can feed herself. 2). Assist her with walking atleast 2 - 3 times on her walker, before your shift ends. If she does not feel like walking, then assist her with the small bike pedals. 3). Assist her with toileting. 4). Assist her with basic memory exercises that I will go over with you in the interview process. 5). Take and record her blood pressure @12:00 p.m. and again @4:00 p.m. I have a notebook for that. 6). Log all notes for the day in a notebook that I will provide. Caregiver must pass a background check, provide proof of a flu or Covid vaccination and have own transportation. 6). About the care needs: The Cargiver must be respectful, kind hearted, dependable, punctual, patient and a non-smoker. The Caregiver must have the ability to use a blood pressure machine, as well as chart the results twice a day. The Caregiver must assist mom with her exercises, which consist of walking 2-3 times per day or using the bike pedals. The exercises are necessary because mom is recovering from surgery. The Caregiver must assist mom with basic memory exercises, which we will discuss during the interview. Services needed include: feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
