About who needs care: He has Parkinsons He uses a walker and the current caretakers help him stand up and are very close by when he walks because sometimes its harder than others. Currently, he uses the bathroom completely by himself but occasionally needs help pulling his Depends up from his ankles. He showers himself. He needs help dressing. He goes to the fridge and picks out what he wants and they heat it for him, but he completely feeds himself and drinks. He loves to go out and about- for drives to get milkshakes and groceries and drs appts, but they will need to drive him and get the walker out and help him around. They administer and keep track of all medications. They tuck him in for naps and bedtime and they do light household chores. About the care needs: Very kind, patient, respectful, present with my dad. He takes naps, but when he is awake to be present mentally and not distracted by your phone. Someone who visits with him and asks questions and understands when he wants not to be hovered. Not someone who is entitled, disrespectful, or argumentative. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
