About who needs care: Lung disease and neutropenia. Needs lifts to doc appts, someone to get her stuff from other floors of the house, help a bit with meals, and general companionship. She watches mysteries, reads A LOT, and likes talking about current events. Her husband died last year. She's tough and struggles with not being entirely independent. Hates being treated like an old lady and spoken down to or loudly at. She's also very friendly, funny, and could use the company of someone patient and willing to listen to her talk. If you've ever been called sweet, she'll love you. HOURS: 4 hours/day (e. g., 9-1 or 10-2). Times can vary daily, but must be consistent week to week for scheduling. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, and mobility assistance.
