About who needs care: This would be for my sister, Grace who is presently refusing any help except from me. I'm 81 have a heart condition and can not be her full time caregiver. She has dementia, and can be somewhat difficult. She reads a lot, colors in adult coloring books, and that seems to be all. She also faces an additional hip surgery at the end of January, and will probably go to a rehab right afterward. For now she walks with crutches, has one dropped foot, and a brace on her good leg until surgery to stabilize it. Im at a loss as to arranging more help, that she doesnt want About the care needs: Just that she can be difficult, has recently relocated from Australia where she has lived for the past 42 years. She purchased a home in the Orchards at Windward, and has minimal furniture until her shipment arrives at the end of December, so shes a bit disoriented and not familiar with the area as yet. I live 15 minutes away and can be there 3 days a week. She does live alone, and has for many years. She can be paranoid and untrusting of strangers. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
