About who needs care: Severe dementia. Repeats questions. A fall risk! Issues w/L shoulder from previous fall. She has devices (walker) to use ... needs constant reminding. Our home is set up as an actual memory care unit! Code to enter front door, all other rooms she is not to enter has fingerprint knobs, as well as cameras in all rooms except bathroom. Set clothes out. Prepare meals (watched carefully). Assist w/ADL's. Help as needed. She's fairly independent. May need assistance w/dress. Will need occasional overnight sitter when I go out of town. Super easy gig! Pay is $100/day whether it's 6, 8, or 24 hrs. Need someone for days (1) week in Dec. Would like to get familiar w/sitter before actual time. Come in several days to get to know her/us/routine. I hope to find someone that knows how to handle dementia residents well!! Would like to add a couple more dementia/Alzheimer residents to live in w/us! About the care needs: Someone familiar or experienced w/dementia & Alzheimer disease is not necessary but skills is important. Strong willed & not gullible! Caring personality. Not afraid to be aggressive or say NO when needed! You are there for her safety & well being. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
