About who needs care: My wife is just 61 and has MSA-P, a Parkinson's type chronic illness. She is currently mobile but needs some help with dressing, household chores, meals, and transportation to local appointments occasionally. About the care needs: although this is not needed yet, the candidate would need to be strong enough to lift someone 5 foot 10 and 172lb out of chairs/ bed if they fell, which is very very rare. This will change over time as the illness worsens. We need someone laid back with a friendly personality who would fit in with a family from the UK. The help is needed to enable me to have a break and to work fromHome. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, companionship, light exercise, and eventual help with bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
