Hello! My name is Heather, and I'm looking for a dependable, kind, and experienced caregiver to help support my dad as he recovers from a major surgery due to a nasty fall. He is mentally sharp and very appreciative of good care - he just needs help regaining strength and staying safe while he heals. Additional context: My stepmom also lives in the home. She is in the early-mid stages of memory loss and can become confused with new faces. She is very attached to my dad, who is her comfort person. You would not be responsible for her care - she simply needs patience, gentle communication, and reassurance if she forgets who you are or why you're there. An ideal day would include gentle help getting out of bed, taking a shower, and getting dressed. He enjoys a calm morning, simple meals, and light companionship. He cannot walk independently yet, but he'll need help taking short, supported walks around the house to build strength. A peaceful environment, safety, hydration, and help with his evening routine make for a good day for him. Watching tv, sketching, art work - he's very creative and loves to draw. He was an architect and loves nature We're looking for someone who has experience with senior care, mobility support, and hands-on assistance with bathing. Patience, kindness, reliability, and good communication are essential. Experience with memory loss or dementia is a plus. CPR/First Aid certification is preferred No access to public transport. Will need your own vehicle to drive him to doctor's appointments 2 cats
