About who needs care: My father in law is 95 and is in surprisingly good shape both cognitively and physically. He lives in a senior independent living facility and has managed quite well although he has been struggling a bit more lately. He has Type II diabetes and was recently diagnosed with congestive heart failure also. He is a lovely and friendly man and while he gets along well with other residents, he doesn't engage with them that much. We feel that he would benefit from someone checking in with him, speaking with him, and helping to ensure that he is checking his numbers and taking his medication. About the care needs: Someone who is warm and friendly would be a good fit. My father in law is very interested in current event and watches the news a lot. He has liberal views and a Trump supporter would not be a good fit as it would greatly limit his ability to express himself. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
