Hi, I'm urgently seeking a kind and reliable weekend caregiver for my 86-year-old mom, recently diagnosed with mild dementia. Dementia care experience is 100% required. My mom thinks she is independent and does not need help. She is not, and she does. She spends the majority, if not all, of her time in her bed. She has a significant mobility problem, is heavy, and has lacked motivation due to depression for years. She needs help with almost all aspects of care. Because of the dementia and the factors stated above, she can get cranky sometimes and resistant. She lives in a retirement community. Light meal preparation, laundry and light chores related to her care are also necessary, as well as giving meds management. Weekday training to occur. But we've always treated our caregivers like family, and hope you'll join us.
