Hands-on Care Needed For My Father In Oakland

About the job

We need a hands-on caregiver to help my father who is battling brain cancer. He is very sweet, quiet and easy going. He suffered a bad fall and since then he has not been able to move his right arm or leg. We are focused on getting him up into his wheelchair and doing his bedside PT routine as much as possible. He eats meals in his chair at the table and likes to go for walks. We have a hoyer lift and he can also pivot transfer with assistance. Suffers from incontinence, needs changing. Important - experience with managing and administering medication is required. Please be willing to do light housekeeping. One of your responsibilities will be helping with bathing. Additional responsibilities include meal preparation. Looking for a caring and compassionate companion. Preferences for a caregiver who is comfortable with pets.
