About who needs care: Occasionally turning on an oxygen machine when my father feels he might need it. Also, emptying a catheter bag if he's unable to do it, and emptying the bottle. He also often needs a cold pack for his back and might need help placing it. He will need help getting toothbrush/paste and prepping for care attendant bathing -- setting out his towel and bowl. In the evening, assistance getting into bed, making him comfortable. Occasional meal prep in the evening. About the care needs: A friendly person who communicates well. Dogs are part of the family, but can be kept separate when the caregiver is there. No specialized skills needed. Services needed include: meal preparation occasionally -- breakfast and/or dinner. Help with handing him his cup to brush his teeth and giving clothes.
