About who needs care: He is a 65-year-old cancer patient currently in Hospice with late stage melanoma. Hes still cognicent but having some short term memory stuff, and needs help moving around the house. He can shuffle around with a walker but needs help being monitored, getting up and down from chairs and beds, to the toilet, and getting all his food, meds, etc. About the care needs: We would love to find someone who has availability to come a few times a week in the morning. Since we need at least that much help, we would prefer it be the same person so its not a rotating cast of people all needing to be shown around the house/oriented to his needs. He's still in pretty good spirits and it would be supportive to have someone friendly, okay with chatting a bit, someone who can engage him. Some conversation is very supportive to his spirits. Whoever comes should be strong enough to help him get off chairs and whatnot. He weighs about 175 lbs. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, bathing / dressing, and mobility assistance.
