About who needs care: Olga is 90 years old and in pretty good health physically. She Is very easy to get along with and is a people person. When you get to know her, she is one of the sweetest people you will meet. She is starting to show signs of dementia. She would like someone to set up and remind her to take her medications, cook or make 2 meals for her (late breakfast/early lunch and dinner). She doesn't eat much. She needs help with her grocery shopping in the form of someone to drive her and help her in the store. Care giver would arrive, prepare some eggs and toast or a sandwich and see to it that she takes her morning medication. Then maybe do some shopping or run errands with Olga, return, help with laundry and cleaning, make a dinner for her to heat up later and lay out her nightime meds. She is able to move around and walk with little to no problems. She forgets to eat, doesn't have food in the house and needs someone to remind her to take her medication. About the care needs: Trust is paramount. Easygoing friendly attitude. Someone who genuinely likes to help the elderly and does not look at it as just a job. Is responsible.
