Caregiver / Home Care Aide (HCA) - Part Time *** please do not contact administrative office directly Position Summary We are seeking certified Home Health Aides (HHA) who are compassionate, dependable, and committed to providing high-quality in-home care. Caregivers support clients with daily living activities, safety, and companionship, helping them maintain independence and dignity in their own homes. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care and the ability to work effectively with diverse populations, including seniors and individuals with disabilities. This position is part-time only. Key Responsibilities Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting. Provide respite care to support family caregivers. Prepare meals, provide feeding assistance, and support proper nutrition. Perform light housekeeping such as laundry, dishes, vacuuming, and general tidying. Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and community activities as assigned. Provide medication reminders and assist with paramedical tasks if trained and delegated. Monitor client safety, including fall prevention and behavioral redirection. Offer companionship, emotional support, and encouragement to promote overall well-being. Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of client information. Qualifications Current California Home Health Aide (HHA) certification (required). Negative TB test completed within the last two (2) years (required). Reliable transportation and valid driver's license. Current CPR and First Aid certification preferred. Strong communication skills, patience, and empathy. Must successfully pass a background check. Work Environment Care is delivered in private homes. Physical demands include standing, bending, lifting, and assisting with transfers.
