About who needs care: My mom is in hospice care and we need someone on the weekends to be there for her while we are at work. My mom has improved significantly since I last posted a job request here on care. com, however, we have noticed a decline cognitively due to her dementia. She has also been sleeping considerably more. We are looking for a caregiver who can be there for 6-8 hours on a weekend day. Either a Saturday or a Sunday and maybe sometimes both days. About the care needs: My mom would prefer a female caregiver. Special skills would include helping her to the toilet if she is unsteady and general hygiene care. Lunch or dinner meal prep. Someone who can speak loudly and clearly as she has difficulty hearing. My mom has a cat that spends a lot of time next to her. Services needed include: feeding, and bathing / dressing.
