My mom is about to be 70 years old in October and has been diagnosed with advanced Alzheimer's disease with aphasia. My father passed away in March and she has declined rapidly since then. Mobility wise, she is independent with everything. She has moments of incontinence, refuses to wear a diaper and soils herself daily. However, I have noticed that she just won't listen to me but rather responds well to a nurse or caregiver. She is pleasant to everyone but me, thus why I am seeking some help at home with her. The job would just be making sure she is clean, her room is clean, and making sure she eats. She likes to just sit and watch Chinese drama shows for the most part of the day. I am also a new mom with a baby at home so being my mom's caregiver and a new mom has been a lofty task for me the last 5 months. The hours and days may vary depending on my schedule so if someone could be flexible with me, that would be so appreciated. Thank you guys in advance. Making sure mom's living space is clean, mom has clean clothes and eats/hydrates Mom likes to watch Chinese drama shows. She used to be more active and likes to go on walks, but that has stopped since her mental declined. But if you can get her out, please do! Applicant should have experience working with Alzheimer's patients, be gentle and patient, have good attention to detail and cleanliness, be organized, be creative to get a task done if my mom doesn't listen, have a little flexibility in work schedule, great communication skills, CPR+BLS certified, mandarin speaking a plus.
