About who needs care: Wears hearing aids, otherwise is completely deaf without them; macular degeneration has become rapid and severe; losing mobility and ability to walk is very difficult for her; dementia setting it- easily confused and short term memory loss is very apparent. She likes to go to Walmart or grocery stores often. I need the physical and emotional support that another caregiver can provide for both of us to help keep everyones quality of life intact. She wants to be independent and cook for herself but its too dangerous- she cannot see to do it, but it is her favorite pastime. About the care needs: Someone who is extroverted, patient (mom talks insessantly). No special skills needed at this time other than to help take some of the pressure and stress and responsibilities off of my hands from time to time for my own mental and physical wellbeing. Services needed include: transportation, meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, and companionship.
