About who needs care: We visit our mom at her home every day, but at 88 she is having increasing memory and mobility issues. We need to make sure she is eating, taking her meds and taking care of herself. She needs someone there and available to help once or twice a week to monitor her hygiene, and help her with meals. Marie is homebound and we need to get her more visits and daily interaction, plus get her out in her wheelchair to see her neighborhood and nature. Our mother refuses to move out of her home and wants to be independent, but she lives alone and needs more help than we can give right now. About the care needs: We need a female capable with care for hygiene, meals and light housekeeping, with patience being the most important skill. This is flexible in terms of time so our person can be part time, but stopping in every weekday is a priority. They may share our food at mealtimes. Services needed include: meal preparation, errands / shopping, light housekeeping, feeding, and bathing / dressing.
