Drowning In Housework

About the job

I'm going to be completely transparent because that's what I'd want. 3 wks ago I had knee surgery. I'm on crutches and non-weight bearing for 6 wks, then will advance from there. Prior to surgery I was already having a hard time keeping up; I was barely scraping by. Now it's all falling on my husband, and despite his efforts, he also cannot keep up (and I think he is struggling with undiagnosed depr ession from my experience). --- Right now, the house is an absolute disaster. But I'd like to start to change that, and get it to a maintenance stage eventually and something that maybe we could take back over. Or maybe not! I very much need help with the litter boxes. When we get behind on them - which we are - the cats will pee on clothing, blankets, etc left on the floor throughout the house. My house smells. --- I have supplies available should you choose to use them! I can further detail those if needed.
