Job Title: Live-In Housekeeper/Nanny Location: Private residence Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Nanny to join our team, committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and organization of a large residence while supporting the well-being of four daughters aged 7, 6, 4, and 3 years old. The children attend school full time from Monday to Friday, allowing for primary housekeeping responsibilities during the week and meal preparation after school. Key Responsibilities: - Housekeeping Duties (Monday to Friday): - Perform thorough cleaning of living spaces, including bedrooms, kitchens, bathrooms, and common areas, ensuring high standards of hygiene and sanitation. - Efficiently organize household chores while managing multiple responsibilities in a busy caregiving setting. - Child Care Responsibilities (After School): - After the children return from school, assist with preparing dinner for the girls, catering to kosher dietary guidelines. - Help mom bathe the children, ensuring their comfort and hygiene. - Engage in age-appropriate activities and supervise playtime to ensure their safety. - Weekend Responsibilities: - Your main focus on the weekends will be actively engaging with the children through swimming and other outdoor activities, helping to keep them entertained. - Assist in maintaining a tidy house while the children are at home, ensuring that areas are cleaned up after playtime and meals. - Work with mom to provide a fun and active environment for the girls, fostering their creativity and physical activity. - General Caregiving: - Implement first aid procedures when necessary and adhere to health and safety protocols. - Communicate effectively with the family to coordinate schedules, report concerns, or share updates on the well-being of the children. Qualifications: - Must be a U.S. citizen or legal to work in the U.S. - Prior experience as a live-in housekeeper and nanny, with a minimum of five years of experience caring for children aged 3 to 7 years old. - Knowledge of child development principles and experience working with children of various ages. - Ability to perform cleaning tasks diligently while maintaining a positive attitude. - Strong cooking skills for meal preparation that meets kosher dietary guidelines. - CPR and first aid certification required, or willingness to obtain certification upon hire. - Clean background and driving record check required. - Compassionate nature with excellent communication skills to foster trust and cooperation with families and team members. - Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting or bending during cleaning or caregiving activities. - Must be able to swim and be very active with the children on weekends. - Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or care requirements as needed. Schedule: - Tuesday to Sunday, 9:00 AM - 6:30/7:00 PM, with Mondays off. Weekend responsibilities will focus more on engaging with the children and providing active care. Compensation: - Starting salary of $1,000 per week for the first 90 days, with potential for increase based on performance. Room and board, including meals, are provided.
