Job #10818: Part-time Light Housekeeper Salary: $50 per hour plus paid holidays, vacation time, and sick time. Location: Berkeley, California Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. = 20 hours per week Children: None. Duties: Responsibilities include ensuring the overall tidiness and cleanliness of the home by clearing away dishes, loading and unloading the dishwasher, wiping down tables and counters, managing trash removal, and maintaining organized spaces throughout the house. This includes checking and opening packages and mail, removing and shredding labels, laundry including folding and putting clothing and linens away, and managing dry cleaning drop-offs and pick-ups. The role also involves reordering and stocking household inventory and completing miscellaneous assigned tasks such as preparing items for donation, returns, or other errands. Additional responsibilities include helping the client prepare for travel, events, or camping trips, which may involve packing and unpacking for travel, running errands, or coordinating logistics. Requirements: The successful candidate will be experienced in light housekeeping and possess excellent judgment and common sense. They must be a clear communicator, technically proficient (comfortable with iPhone, Google Apps, and home technology), and able to remain composed under pressure. A positive, service-oriented outlook, self-awareness, and a high level of discretion are essential. Benefits: The principal will provide guaranteed employment 52 weeks per year through regular payroll services.
