About the job
Be very active with the children and supportive of the family! To make trips to our park, to use community resources--work usually one child at a time. To take grandpa on errands like grocery shopping, doctor appointments, do meal preparation and give him a much-needed respite/break. Our home is professionally cleaned monthly. There are many children in the immediate neighborhood, but it is pretty quiet, with caring neighbors. Household consists of a single Dad, his father (the kids' grandpa, who helps run the family home) and the two kids (autistic son, 15 who attends high school, and a 11-year-old girl in sixth grade, who needs some tutoring). Some light tidying up on occasion. After school duties when needed. Mothering talent is essential. Music / artistic talent a bonus.
