Afterschool Care For Sweet 9-Year-Old Boy (Special Needs)

About the job

We’re looking for a caring, dependable person to help with our 9-year-old son after school. He’s autistic, nonverbal, and needs gentle assistance with mobility—he’s not ambulatory without help. He also wears diapers and needs support with feeding and toileting. Responsibilities include: • Picking him up from school • Providing a snack and engaging with him (he loves music!) • Helping him navigate the house safely • Assisting with feeding and toileting • Transporting him to speech and physical therapy sessions • Doing light housekeeping as time allows Requirements: • Must have your own reliable transportation • Patience and kindness are a must • Experience with special needs children preferred Our ideal caregiver is compassionate, dependable, and enjoys connecting through small moments of joy and music.
