After School Babysitter Needed For 8 Year Old With Autism And ADHD In Alexandria

Looking for after-school care for a 8-year-old with high functioning autism and ADHD. He is extremely intelligent, with a love for science, building/construction, space, and engineering. He's a curious and funny boy who loves reading (novels about clans of cats are current fave!). We would need someone to pick him up from school, drive him home, prepare a snack, and then supervise him for a few hours at the end of the day. He is generally very independent, and often reads or plays on his own. Ideal candidate would have experience with kids with ADHD/ASD and related behaviors (such as inflexibility or impulsivity), or an interest in related subject areas (such as a nursing, social work, or psychology student or special education teacher). Currently looking for care 3 afternoons per week.
