My newborn is an absolute angel, but does suffer from some reflux and had a difficult time being laid down flat after feedings for quite a while. He also has nights where he cluster feeds, making it difficult for us to get sleep. My ideal night looks like someone who is awake to hold him upright as much as he needs and monitor any reflux or spit up. Also, someone who is there to assist with feeding, changing, and burping. I am exclusively pumping and will be up periodically throughout the night to pump and help with the baby too. During down time, it would be helpful for someone to load and unload the bottle washer, wash and fold laundry (if any), and just general tidying up when needed.
