We are looking for a reliable and responsible babysitter / nanny - house manager who is ok with schedule changes and doesn't mind working most weekends. Our older son is in school 3 days a week and the younger one has activities as well. They are both full of energy and like to swim a lot when the weather allows. Being comfortable in the water with them is important as well as keeping up with their energy level in general. Hoping to find someone who can stay with us long term, at least for a year or longer. Our current babysitter will be with us until Jan 31st but a period of overlap would be ideal. We can pay a fix monthly salary but days and times will vary. We are able to give 2 fix days off during the week. Max we can give is one weekend off per month. A typical week would have 2-4 workdays. Most days would be long 10-12 hour days with a some days being only 2-4 hours. We are a Christian family with conservative values. We are strict about what shows they can watch and keep a consistent healthy diet. Having a fun loving nanny or babysitter who helps them grow in a safe and nurturing environment is must. Small kids have big emotions and having someone who is able to manage tantrums is key. Both boys love swimming and being outdoors. They also like doing crafts, baking and we want to have time away from screens especially on days when they are mostly home it's important to do screen free activities. Our little guy has Jiu Jitsu and gymnastics, the class is designed in a way that their caregiver needs to do the class and help them stay in line etc. We would also like him to learn the ABCs and to count. Reading books is always great. The older brother needs help with managing big emotions and has meltdowns sometimes. We would love to welcome someone who is fun but also respectful, reliable and is able to commit to this job for a year at least. Since the boys will be with the caregiver for long periods during the day it's important that they feel happy and comfortable. We live in the suburbs We have two small dogs, a Shih Tzu and a Terrier mix. They like to bark when someone arrives to alert us and do demand attention from the person stepping in the door. They just want to be acknowledged and feel important.
