Children: 6 years old, 9 years old (In school Monday - Friday, 8 am - 3 pm) Compensation: $30 -$35/HR based on education and experience Start Date: Nov/Dec for a year agreement with a possible extension. The family is looking to hire long-term. Schedule: 7/7:30 AM - 10/10:30 AM, and 2:30 PM - 6:30 PM. 9 PM end time one night per week to be agreed upon in advance. (40 hours per week guaranteed) Occasional overnights, and weekends are required. Weeklong overnights may be needed quarterly when parents are traveling. Pets: 1 cat Location: 78746 Westlake School pick up and drop off: Near Anderson Blvd/Shoal Creek Duties: Full care (including morning and afternoon routine) Children's meals Drive children in the nanny's/family's vehicle (school drop off/pickup and afterschool activities) Help with homework Keep the children's bedroom/play area and common areas clean, and help guide children to pick up after themselves. Children's laundry Load and unload the dishwasher Pre-prep dinner items for the family Family Assistant Duties (to be performed while not caring for the children): Feed and water the pets Pet sitting (short daily visits for ~ 6 weeks when family is traveling) Grocery shop Assist with putting away delivered groceries Run errands Pre-prep dinner items for the family Taking the trash out Desired Nanny Qualities: A mature and confident nanny who is comfortable supervising homework, skilled at maintaining appropriate boundaries, and able to encourage independence in a loving and nurturing manner. A responsible and proactive nanny who is tidy and organized, can work effectively as a team and truly wants to be a part of the family. A nanny who is respectful of household boundaries and open to receiving feedback with emotional professionalism. Minimum 5+ years professional childcare/household management experience. Bilingual (Spanish/Other) and college-educated a plus (background in education highly desired). A clean driving record with experience in transporting children is required. Plays the violin and weekly swimming. Is not a fan of the outdoors- scared of bugs.
