Meet the Family We are a health conscious fun loving highly active family We founded and run a fast growing natural food company and influencer platform so we are both very busy We love sharing healthy meals enjoying our backyard and pool and going on family outings like hiking or boating Our 7-year-old daughter is joyful creative and chatty She loves crafts music storytelling and imaginative play Busy family in south Austin Manchaca Ben White area is seeking a Family Assistant who will make their lives easier and fit in well with their household dynamic The position will have mostly household duties and some child related responsibilities It is important that this candidate is comfortable in the kitchen and able to do basic meal prep and cooking Ways You Will Help This Family Thrive Plan and prepare or cook dinners per week and make enough for leftover lunches The family has many simple recipes but would like the candidate to take charge of meal planning and grocery shopping Manage contractors and vendors Research projects Schedule appointments Make school lunch and transport the child to and from school No after school activities yet but that could change Engage the child in indoor and outdoor age appropriate games and activities About one hour per day after she gets home from school and occasional full days when she is home for a holiday or sick day Host occasional playdates after school or on school holidays Keep the common areas and childrens areas tidy Wipe down counters load and unload dishwasher put away toys and supplies Launder household linens and do parent laundry when needed Manage cat food and provide light pet care Keep groceries and supplies stocked Run errands such as returns picking up prescriptions and dry cleaning Perform simple household maintenance tasks What Makes You a Wonderful Match Experienced confident and capable with school age children Extremely professional organized and detail oriented Trustworthy dependable and punctual Experienced in managing complex projects Self driven and proactive Personable and positive A resourceful problem solver An excellent communicator Flexible and adaptable Comfortable with a cat in the home Both employers work full time The employer will have candidates complete a personality assessment
