On days I do not work & D. does not have school, he wakes up and has breakfast. He usually likes to have some tablet time or watch a tv show while he wakes up. We then go run errands or play outside. He is great at independent play and plays a bit differently than other kids. He is in the program at school. He would rather watch videos about foreign languages or play with maps and instead of imaginative play. He knows the alphabet of 8 different languages and is still anxious to learn more. This is literally his favorite hobby. He has a hard time regulating his emotions and receives help for this through school. When he gets upset he sometimes needs help to understand the emotion and the best way to process it-(taking a break, squeezing a pillow, maybe even let out a little scream) That often does the trick.
