These first time parents are currently trading off parental leave as they adjust to life as new parents and are hoping to find a supportive partner in care when they return to work full time. The child will be approximately 6-7 months old at the start of care, approximately January 2026. This role is ideal for a professional nanny experienced with infants and families who incorporate aspects of holistic parenting into their approach, while striking an appropriate balance of mainstream living. The family is eager to meet applicants who are familiar with elimination communication, child-led parenting, cloth diapering, and Montessori principles (or are open to learning). Mom and dad are experiential learners and hope to welcome a caregiver who can maintain open lines of communication, provide feedback from personal experience, and share guidance as they continue to discover the joys and challenges of first-time parenthood. Their main goal for their child now is to foster a supportive environment, in which their baby boy can freely explore the world around him at his own pace - they are not enforcing a rigid developmental milestone schedule. The parents are optimistic they will find a true partner in care who will approach the job consistently with their parenting philosophy as it continues to evolve. What You'll Do -Provide warm, attentive care for the infant throughout the day -Follow baby's cues for feeding, sleeping, and soothing -Engage in child-led play and activities, following baby's cues and interests -Maintain feeding, sleeping, and diapering log with parents using the Huckleberry App -Perform minimal baby-related household tasks, including bottle cleaning, play area straightening, and cloth diaper rinsing (parents will handle laundry) -Offer guidance on various approaches to infant care and parenting philosophies, serving as a resource and partner in care for first-time parents adjusting to their new role -Engage baby in neighborhood walks and outdoor play during warmer weather We Want to Meet You If You Have... -At least 2-3+ years of experience working as an infant nanny in a private home -Comfort and familiarity with how to navigate childcare while parents work from home -Infant CPR and First Aid certified (or willingness to obtain/renew) -Highly organized, reliable, and safety-conscious -Strong communicator who is open to offering guidance and receiving feedback -Enthusiastic and creative with experience leading developmentally appropriate activities -A clean driving record and a reliable, insured vehicle -Experience supporting first-time parents or with postpartum adjustment -Experience or familiarity with Montessori principles (or willingness to learn) -Experience or familiarity with cloth diapering (or willingness to learn) -Experience or familiarity with elimination communication (or willingness to learn) -Experience or familiarity with child-led, developmentally responsive parenting (or willingness to learn) Why This Role?
