Our 3-year-old son is autistic and needs constant supervision. He can't be left alone as he will try to leave the home or get into dangerous things. He's very smart, clever, sweet, funny, and energetic. We are looking for a patient and experienced sitter for the occasional date night. We have other children but if they are home, they're older and do not require a sitter. We also prefer someone who has experience with autistic children as it does require a different approach. He may have meltdowns, during which the sitter needs to make sure he isn't hurting himself or others. He might try to hit or bite himself when very upset. He is verbal and able to express his needs. He just needs to be watched closely to keep him safe.
