Assist in planning and implementing a program for the class in accordance of with the philosophy and policies of the center Assist in maintaining a safe classroom environment Interact with children in accordance with developmentally appropriate practices as established by the NAEYC guidelines Assist in implementing a program which promotes the development of each child Treat each child, parent, and co-worker with dignity and respect Assist in promoting healthy eating habits by implementing nutritional activities Help each child to become aware of his role as an integral member of a group Greet parent and child at arrival and pick-up times, making them feel comfortable and welcome Assist in maintaining a daily classroom schedule Assist in implementing daily, weekly, and monthly plans under the guidance of the Head Teacher Assist in documenting each child's progress Must participate in and comply with required training hours set forth by NYS Regulations for Day Care Centers Keep open communication with Head Teacher at all times Assume an equal share of housekeeping responsibilities Maintain a professional attitude and loyalty to the program at all times Maintain confidentiality regarding children, families, staff and the center at all times
