Hello Everyone! I'm Alixandria and I live just south of downtown Raleigh, bordering Garner. I am starting a new job at the end of April 2024 so I'm searching for a caregiver M-F. Ideally, this person would do school pick-up, starting at ~3 p.m. and handle after school care until 6-7 p.m. My kids are 14, 7, 6, & 5 (three girls, one boy). The three younger ones will need the care and the 14-yr-old is very self-reliant. My 6-year-old son has autism. I'm working to secure a home health nurse, so there is a possibility there will be another adult who strictly cares for my6-year-old. If the home health nurse doesn't work out, then I would be looking for someone who has special needs training. He is verbal and super sweet, but has some unique interests (for example, he currently likes to blow up Ziploc bags and pop them to make a loud pop sound so securing the Ziploc bags, and keeping them out of his reach, would be one of those interests). My kids are active and love to play outside. Pay is ~$20 per hour to a nanny who works alongside a home nursing aide. If you're someone who has documented experience working with special needs, great! Let's negotiate a higher pay.
