I am a full time nurse due in March with my first baby! My husband is a surgery resident at UMMC with a very intense schedule. I work 12 hour shifts with on a 5/2 split. We moved from Texas in June 2024 to Jackson, MS. We have no family here so navigating child care once I go back to work has been the topic of conversation. As of now, when I work my 5 days in a row, our moms have decided to split those stretches once a month. So we are looking for a nanny to take care of our baby boy 2 days every other week! I have to leave my house at 6:15 a.m. and I get back to my house normally around 7:45 p.m. So the days you would keep him it would be from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. due to my shift hours.
