Special Needs Adult Personal Assistant

About the job

We are looking for a part-time assistant to support our 30-year-old son with autism and apraxia at home and in the community. He is highly intelligent but essentially non-verbal. He requires assistance or supervision with: -attending a college class -volunteer work -exercise -transportation to activities -toileting, bathing, shaving, brushing teeth, dressing -food choice and preparation -behavior and task management -working on skills to increase his independence Hours are between 7 or 7:30am-3pm, Wed-Fri. Additional as needed shifts some evenings and weekends are possible.. Starting pay $25 per hour. We have a car available for his transportation. Requirements: 18 years-old or older with a minimum of a high school diploma, GED, reliable transportation.
