We love to explore outdoors, make colorful creations at our easel, and read together. Our kids are goofy and loving. We make the kids a part of the team and try to include them in daily tasks and activities. We mirror language and tactics our older children use at school: be kind, be safe, be your best. Our kids love to be with their grown-ups and be a part of our day. They play well independently or together, but also love when a grown-up joins in. They like to make art, build with blocks or magnetic tiles, and read books. We watch television, especially Paw Patrol and Daniel Tiger. The kids also like to have dance parties and ride scooters in the cul de sac. We have multiple playgrounds within walking distance if they somehow run out of things to do at home. Our baby, the primary responsibility, was born at the end of July. He will be approximately 5 months old when this job starts. He is exclusively bottle and formula fed and naps in his crib. Our middle child (girl, 3) will be out of the house at preschool the first half of the day. She will come home and need lunch before going into her room for quiet time. She might sleep but it's also likely she'll play quietly in her room. She is potty trained. She loves to help with the baby and in making her lunch. His oldest sibling (boy, 6) will be in kindergarten and will not be part of this job, although you might see his smiley face in the mornings! He rides the bus to and from school. On days that he is not in school, a grown-up from our family (mom, dad, nana, or pop pop) will be around as an extra set of hands. We're looking to hire someone with experience in infants and toddlers. They must be comfortable around large dogs (Rhodesian Ridgeback, 4) but do not need to care for them while on the job. They can always choose to take him on a walk with them! Our home will be an open space for them where they can help themselves to anything in the kitchen. We want them to feel comfortable here. They need to be patient, kind, and comfortable with chaos. Our home has plenty of parking in the driveway but we are not close to public transit. We have one dog, Odin. He is a male, Rhodesian Ridgeback and is 4 years old. He loves his kids and family. He is very excited when he meets someone new but settles down. He does not jump. He sheds slightly but rare to find it on your clothing. He doesn't need you to feed him but if you notice his water is low, we'd be grateful if you refreshed it.
