We are a 30+something professional couple in Greater Portland looking for a reliable, experienced, kind, and trustworthy flex-time childcare provider. Ideally, we'd like to find someone whom has credentials and references, and is available most weekdays and occasional weekends. We are on multiple waitlists in the Portland area, and both our families are further way where providing that type of childcare isn't really an option. We have several friends and colleagues, but ideally, we'd like to find someone who can give consistent care for our child. This would likely sheet in November 2024 when our parental leaves end, but we'd be open to some help -- flexible what that is -- in the "fourth trimester". Initially we thought we had a doula-midwife/nurse/nanny lined up, but they relocated to be with their family, and this is why we're looking for something similar (we know, highly hard to find another gem like that) or close to that; someone whom can help with light duties around the home when needed (not often) and assist with ensuring our little one has a safe, healthy, happy fourth trimester -- and ideally, well beyond that. We'd love to find someone who loves children, and is able to play an active role in their life for a longer period of time. This would *not* be live-in, and would generally be 2-4 days a week, with the occasional weekend or evening. Ideally, we'd like to find someone who is available in the morning and early evening (ie 8AM-5 p.m. approx) most of the time, and is able to care for them in our home, or assist with pickup and drop off as needed.
