Special Needs/Personal Care Assistant For An 18-year-old With Severe Disabilities

The family is looking to hire a compassionate PCA who can work to assist an 18-year-old with severe disabilities. Hours needed: - Bi-Weekly (Weekdays) Wed, Thur, Fri, Mon, Tues, Wed: 6:00 a.m. - 8:00 a.m. (Morning routine and bus). - All Friday afternoons, 3:30 pm-7:00 p.m. - Bi-Weekly (Weekends) Sat/Sun: 10:00am-5:00 p.m. (Flexible) The client is wheelchair-bound and uses an AAC device to communicate. The ideal PCA needs to be able to lift to transfer the 90lb client (lift-stand-pivot-sit) for seating transfers, toileting, and equipment transfers (such as a gait trainer). The client requires assistance with feeding (utensil use for some snacks and meals) and toileting (client is on an interval schedule and wears diapers). The client loves music and enjoys being active/on the go, i. e., going on walks/strolls in the neighborhood.
