Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Daycare Teacher to join my home based daycare. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childcare and a genuine love for working with children. This role involves creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children to learn and grow. The Daycare Teacher will be responsible for developing engaging lesson plans that promote childhood development while ensuring the well-being of each child in their care. Responsibilities Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that foster learning and development. Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment that encourages exploration and creativity. Provide individualized attention to children, catering to their unique needs and abilities. Manage classroom behavior effectively, using positive reinforcement techniques. Engage with children through play, educational activities, and hands-on experiences. Maintain open communication with parents regarding their child's progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to childcare. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations within the daycare setting. Participate in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education. Requirements EEC Certification or in process to obtain one Must have a high school diploma or GED Knowledge of childhood development principles and practices. Experience in infant care, toddler care and preschool settings. Strong classroom management skills, with the ability to create an engaging learning environment. First aid certification is preferred, willingness to obtain certification if not currently held. Background in teaching or caregiving roles such as nannying or babysitting is advantageous. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with children, parents, and staff members.
