FT Nanny-Family Assistant In West Newton - $35 Per Hour

Location: West Newton, MA Schedule: Guaranteed 40 hours per week - schedule to be coordinated with family and known in advance - predominantly weekdays between 6:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Flexibility to work occasional weekends is preferred. Children: 7 and 9 years old Duties: Responsibilities include general childcare, planning and engaging in age-appropriate activities, driving to and from school and extracurriculars, and assisting with afternoon routines. Additional duties include preparing dinner for the family when the children are home, grocery shopping, running errands, managing returns, loading/unloading the dishwasher, handling family laundry, maintaining children's closets and overall organization and tidiness. Family has a weekly cleaner. Requirements: The ideal candidate has 5+ years of professional childcare and family assistant experience, including recent work with school-age children, and maintains both a clean background and excellent driving record. They are proactive and self-motivated, naturally anticipating needs before being asked, and take genuine ownership of their role while bringing calm rather than chaos. Due to the rotating parenting schedule, flexibility and occasional weekend support are key. Must be fully vaccinated and demonstrate safe, confident driving skills. Pets: None Driving/Parking: Car will be provided - must have a reliable car to get to/from home Travel: Willingness to travel with family on occasion is ideal Additional Information: Parents are divorced and share custody equally on a defined parenting plan/set schedule. Compensation: $35+ per hour, taxes withheld, 4 weeks paid vacation (1 week at Nanny's choice), paid sick days, paid holidays and a health stipend. Start Date: ASAP
