Pick up our 3-year-old from preschool at 10:50 a.m. Bring him to the library, programs, or home for activities. Support his early learning, keep him busy, and reinforce stopping thumb sucking. Put him down for his nap and gently remove his thumb if needed. Pick up our 8-year-old when we are not home or when needed. Support his schoolwork by helping with reading, math, and typing homework. Keep him focused and consistent. Serve premade meals, manage daily routines, and provide age appropriate activities, crafts, reading, play and homework support. Take the kids to the park on warmer days. Clean up after activities, load dishes, and put away kids laundry once per week. Maintain a balanced day with limited screen time except for one relaxed day per week. We want someone who feels confident creating their own routine and structure with the kids. We trust your judgment and want you to run the day in the way that works best for you and for them. If you enjoy crafts or activities, let me know so I can make sure you have whatever supplies you want. We appreciate when our nanny brings fun ideas. We also want you to feel comfortable in our home. You are welcome to eat or snack on anything you like. We want you to feel supported and at ease here. Even though we work from home part of the week, we stay working in our separate room, in our workspace, so you have the space you need to manage the day. Our boys love going to the park, playing together, spending time at the library, building in their sandboxes, and playing with their toy cars. They also enjoy slime and play doh, but our 3-year-old must be watched closely because he tries to eat it. 8yo is very smart, curious, and loves to ask questions and learn. He is a big fan of dinosaurs and he loves decorating and celebrating the holidays. 3yo loves toy cars, Peppa Pig, and anything active or hands on. Both boys love the holidays, water parks, and water resorts. 8yo will read for 15 minutes, do 15 minutes of math, and complete his homework sheet two nights a week. 3yo is learning his ABCs, counting, and tracing. We would like someone who is engaged with the kids, talks to them, pays attention to them, takes initiative, and someone who is a safe driver and very comfortable transporting kids to or from school.
