We need someone to care for our two children in the after-school time. I am looking for a responsible, caring adult who can drive the two from school to home, help them organize their things and start homework, and drop them off at after-school activities. Activities usually begin at times from 4 to 6 pm; not the same time each day. Some activities are one hour, which can mean pickup may be involved, depending on the day of week and parent availability. My children are fairly self-sufficient, but adult supervision is always a plus. I'd like someone proactive who's had experience with children and can encourage positive behaviors like (for example): getting an early start to homework, choosing a nourishing snack rather than junk food; preparing sports gear for practice timely, etc. Common-sense care delivered with love makes a difference!
